The collective aims to coalesce intermediary organizations that advocate for the gig workers. In partnership with intermediaries, the R2I Lab will organize gig workers and build capacity for individuals to participate in advocacy. Through participatory action research and data analysis, the collective aims to better adapt government data collection and analysis with the changing nature of the workforce. Through training and peer-learning, this collective enables gig workers to have a seat at the table with policy makers working on legislation that impacts their lives. This includes advancing policy initiatives on the following:

• Portable Benefits 
• Unemployment Protection
• Small Business Regulations
